Right after the presentation of the program to the executives of the schools of Santa Fe. Santo Tome and Paraná, there were given the first talks of our program.
Between November 9th and November 12th, at 4 schools located at the cities of Santa Fe and Paraná there were dictated talks to parents, professionals and teachers of these four establishments.

GOOD PARENTS ON THE INTERNET
It was presented in the city of Santa Fe the first CSR (RSE by its Spanish Initials) program of the GeeksHive’s Community.
With the attendance of directors of Primary and Middle schools of the Cities of Santa Fe, Paraná and Santo Tomé, and the multitudinous presence of certified Geeks in the Community, it was introduced the Good Parents on the Internet program, an initiative of Corporate Social Responsibility supported by HP, IBM, Panda, Novatech, Linksys and TP Link.

HP JOINS GEEKSHIVE
Details of a historic agreement
At the end of August 2009, it was sign the strategic commercial alliance between Hewlett Packard and GeeksHive International. The agreement, achieved after a year of negotiations assigns, for the certified hives of the GeeksHive community, the distribution of HP products and the corporate support to the deepening and the greater development of the communal model. For both parts, it has represented the culmination of a long process of interworking, aimed at the consolidation of web2.0 aspects that characterized the model of participation and commercialization developed by GeeksHive.

Training in the world software freedom day
The past August 28th on the occasion of World Software Freedom Day, GeeksHive took part in a training event carried out in its facilities of Paraná, Province of Entre Ríos, in Argentina. With a significant attendance of certified Geeks, the meeting was one of the thousands carried out in the world for this significant technological event.
The work schedule
The first lecture was in charge of Diego Gómez who discussed about IT technologies home Sales and Value-Added Products.
Straightaway, Walter Elias, a certified Geek to the Community, gave a talk on “Freeware as a business opportunity”, arousing great interest among the attendants, who, after listening attentively the contents proposed by the paper, were involved in an enlightening exchange of ideas related to the topic.

Geekshive in IBM, an unprecedent success
With over 200 Geeks crowding IBM Argentina auditorium, it was carried out the second stage of TRAINING GEEKS 2009
The second stage of the TRAINING GEEKS 2009 took place in IBM Argentina seat in Capital Federal, which saw the capacity of the auditorium for 130 people largely overfilled. The intention of the organization was not to let any assistants out, since a very important number of Geeks had traveled from different parts of the country to be present, that is why some of them had to sit on the corridors.
In addition to Buenos Aires residents, members from Entre Ríos attended the invitation ( Paraná, Villaguay, Crespo, La Paz, Diamante, Nogoyá, Seguí ); Santa Fe ( Capital, Rosario, Santo Tomé, Esperanza, Calchaquí, Vera, Rafaela, Reconquista and Recreo ); Chako (Resistencia, Barranqueras ), Corrientes ( Capital, Goya ); Córdoba ( Capital, Río Cuarto, San Francisco ); Neuquén ( Capital, General Roca, Plaza Huincul, Plottier, Cutral Có and Centenario ); Río Negro ( Allen, Cipoletti, Villa Regina ); La Pampa ( Santa Rosa, 25 de Mayo).

Training Geeks 2009 - The Community requests clearance
In March 28th it was performed the TRAINING GEEKS 09, organized by GeeksHive International and supported by some of the most important IT trademarks in the market. With an attendance that surpassed largely the expectations of the ideologists, the event let a profit balance as regards to transmitted knowledge, interaction of different actors of the Community and level of certifications obtained.The meeting, the first one of a series that the Community has already programmed throughout Argentina during 2009, had the presence of IBM, Linksys and Gigabyte, referent trademarks in their specialties and active partners of the model, in charge of dissertations on new technologies. The topics aimed at the computer professionals' interests and to the impact generated by their products in the capillary service offered by specialists to thousands IT consumers.

FURUKAWA TOGETHER WITH GEEKSHIVE
Furukawa, worldwide manufacturer of optical fiber, cables and network, and telecommunication network infrastructure and IT, joins GeeksHive International.
With an initial investment of more than U$D 3 million, the Japanese company has recently opened a plant in Berazategui, province of Buenos Aires, to supply the internal and regional market. This plant is located in Berazategui´s industrial center and it manufactures 200 thousand kilometers of optical fiber a year to supply telecommunication companies of the country and the region.

Training Geeks 2009
On March 28th, 2009 GeeksHive International began its Training Geeks 2009, the first of a series of trainings of high level that will be carried out in different cities of Argentina during the course of the year.In this opportunity, the conference will have IBM, Linksys and Gigabyte as expositors trademarks, incorporating others of similar trajectory during the months of the road show.
The appointment will be in the Hotel Cristal Palace and there will participate in addition to the persons in charge of the hives, executives of OCA and of the Argentinean Technological Institute (ITA by its Spanish initials).

ITA IN GEEKSHIVE
ITA, the Argentinean Technological Institute joined the community as one of its training channels in technology.
Aiming at boosting the entrance in the labor market of IT specialists, GeeksHive and ITA join forces to bring this chance to the students of the Institute.
ITA is an educational entity devoted to train hardware technicians and computer network technicians. By means of this new agreement, all the students will have the test to certify the entrance to the Community in order to acquire more knowledge: access to information of products, interaction with thousands of expert colleagues and access to a stock with products of world famous trademarks.
The agreement was released through EDUHARD, the TV program of computer technology of ITA, hosted by Hernán Sánchez.

Kozumi Certification
GeeksHive community releases a new training course. This time the trademark in charge of the development of Geeks certified to the model will be Kuzumi.
The course comprises a first module devoted to: Wired, Multimedia, Energy: Switch, Router, Modem, ADSL, UPS and TV tuners.
