Toshiba's Power TV: a battery-powered tv!

Toshiba has introduced the new line called Power TV, which consists of LCD televisors powered by an incorporated battery that promises to work for at least two hours without any external power source. The idea behind this creation is offering the possibility to continue watching in case of blackouts or even in emergency situations.

These tvs have two sizes: 24 and 32 inches. For areas in which the signal is weak the TV comes with an incorporated OTA tuner and an option that allows you to adjust the bright automatically, according to the environment.

According to the engineers, the system works similarly to UPS equipments in PCS, allowing us to keep the equipment on when there is a blackout so that we can save and close what we are doing.
