Google accuses the Chinese government of interfering with its e-mail services in that country, making it hard for user to sign in to their Gmail accounts. In the middle of an Internet repression intensified after the incidents in the Middle East.Google has received a great number of complaints from Chinese users and advertisers during the last weeks related to Gmail disrupts. There have been many problems sending emails and with incoming emails. They had been delayed and lost in most cases.
Google sources have confirmed that there were no technical problems on their side with the email service or its main website. They also said that it’s a government blockage carefully designed to look like the problem is with Gmail.
No one has confirmed from Google whether they have articulated the issue directly to Chinese functionaries or not and, until now, there is no answer from Chinese authorities to the accusations from the Google.
