Seagate- External 3TB hard drive

Seagate introduces the 3TB Free Agent Go Flex Desk, the first desktop model with 3TB.
It can store up to 120 HD movies; the new Seagate external hard drive has a 3.5 inch design, a black smooth cover, and its corresponding software to make backups and data encryption. But the most interesting feature is the Seagate’s GoFlex adapter system.

It includes a USB 2.0 adapter by default but you can choose both Firewire 800 as well as, USB 3.0, although you will have to buy an additional accessory.

In regards to BIOS limitation against 2.1 TB, the manufacturer relies on the fact that using the USB, users won’t have problems to exploit the 3TB to the full extent, as opposed to using it as booting device or as RAID disk.

Thinking about the users that prefer the Mac platform, Seagate included an NTFS driver so that Mac users can access the disk.
It can be purchased for 250 dollars.
