The new Sony reader

Sony reader adds two new e-book Readers models: Sony Reader Pocket Edition and Sony Reader Touch Edition, both with e-ink display with 16 levels of grayscale, tactile and with 12 dictionaries. These new Touch and Pocket Readers include 2 Gb of memory and supports PDF and ePub formats.

The Reader Pocket Edition, Sony Reader PRS-350 model, has a smaller full tactile 5 inch screen and a compact light design, a real pocket book. The display will offer 800x600 resolution which, thanks to an incorporated battery will offer up to 7,000 page turns. It is available in silver, pink and blue.

On the other hand, the Reader Touch Edition, Sony Reader PRS-650 model, offers a normal size: a 6 inch, full tactile display and the same resolution, 800x600 pixels. It will come in black, silver and red.

Both models have an expansion slot for Memory Stick Duo or SD cards, although they will include a reduced internal memory of 512 MB for the PRS-350 and about 1.4GB for the PRS-650. They will also work as an audio player.

Besides, Sony makes available for Readers users a complete range of devices like AC adapters, cases and covers with reading lights.
